North Lincolnshire Council is recruiting a Senior Curator to join our innovative Museums team to drive forward our ambitions to make North Lincolnshire a leading area for arts and culture.
This post is responsible for the operational management and development of the North Lincolnshire Museums collections, including the interpretation programmes at North Lincolnshire Museum and Normanby Hall Country Park. You must have a background of working in museums and collections management, and experience of developing and delivering projects and partnership working.
You will manage a team of specialist curators and volunteers, and the bespoke collections database and associated Collections Online portal. You will be responsible for interpreting the collections, including developing exhibitions, redisplaying galleries and creating digital content, whilst ensuring audiences are central to the way collections are interpreted and displayed. You will be able to respond to collections enquiries and research requests.
You must be able to demonstrate good management skills, able to motivate your team, as well as ensuring the delivery of a high quality offer for audiences.
