Mechanical Design Engineer
We are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well-established, global engineering organisation specialising in packaging equipment used widely across the FMCG sector, including fulfilment, food and logistics environments.

The Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer within the Innovation & NPD team, you will be responsible for:
* Developing customised packaging and mechanical products based on specific customer requirements
* Producing overall design and assembly drawings
* Creating detailed manufacturing drawings for in-house and international production
* Generating Bills of Materials and obtaining costings at initial concept stage
* Liaising directly with customers alongside Sales to ensure designs meet expectations
* Coordinating with the Project Manager to ensure timely project delivery
* Contributing to the continuous improvement of existing product ranges
* Completing product performance checklists for initial production builds
