About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate
Health Care Assistant (HCA)
to join our dermatology team in Edinburgh. This is a
part-time position working weekends
, offering an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a specialist setting. You will support patients attending dermatology clinics and work closely with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality care and support to patients attending dermatology and outpatient clinics.
* Assist nursing and medical staff with patient preparation, procedures, and treatment.
* Carry out clinical tasks such as wound care, dressing changes, and assisting with minor procedures (training provided if required).
* Support the smooth running of clinics, including patient flow and maintaining a safe, clean environment.
* Accurately update patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times.
* Deliver excellent communication and reassurance to patients and their families.
About You
* Previous experience working as a Health Care Assistant, Clinical Support Worker, or similar.
* Experience in
dermatology or outpatients
is highly desirable.
* A caring, professional, and patient-focused approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Willingness to learn and undertake further training where required.
* Flexibility to work
weekend shifts
