Each day begins by assisting the Breakfast team in serving our artisanal teas and coffees to hotel guests. As the morning shifts into afternoon, the focus transitions to supporting the Bars team during lunch service. This includes preparing teas and coffees, offering basic mixology, and serving a selection of beers, wines, and spirits to guests dining in the restaurant or relaxing in the pub.
* Proficiency in the understanding and craft of different types of coffees (e.g., Americano, Latte).
* Understanding the texture and temperature of milk required for each coffee.
* Understanding the calibration of the grinder and espresso machine and general espresso machine maintenance.
* Good knowledge of wine, beers, and cocktail lists.
* Mixing drinks and cocktails.
* Full knowledge of ingredients to provide accurate allergen advice.
* Bar preparation and cellar/bar deep cleaning.
Service
* Adhere to the agreed steps of service.
* Ensure the highest quality service to guests.
* Proficient in waiting tables in the restaurant and bar floor/terrace depending on the needs of the business.
* Maintain attentive awareness of the timing and flow of service at the bar tables.
* Proactively assist guests seated at the bar without waiting for them to seek help.
* Anticipate and resolve potential complaints; report or escalate issues to the manager on duty.
Deliver personalized, exceptional customer service, anticipating guest needs to create memorable experiences.
Maintain a strong knowledge of premium spirits, wines, and ingredients to make informed recommendations and educate guests.
Ensure meticulous presentation, from crafting drinks to maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar, meeting luxury standards.
Thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure and ensuring guest satisfaction during peak times.
