Job title: Senior Systems Engineer
Location: Cowes, Broad Oak, Great Baddow – Onsite only – Part-time accruing hours available. Please let us know if you would like to discuss these options.
Salary: Up to £63,150 (dependent on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
1. Applying a breadth of knowledge, skills, and experience of Systems Engineering principles and techniques to develop technical solutions and resolve engineering issues.
2. Discern and decompose requirements to system and sub-system level and manage these in an approved toolset such as IBM DOORS.
3. Collaborating with specialists across different engineering disciplines including electronics, electrical, mechanical, and software to realize overarching system design solutions.
4. Contributing to the definition and articulation of requirements, supported by production of customer acceptance evidence.
5. Building your personal profile with senior stakeholders and growing a diverse knowledge base in radar engineering through these activities.
Your skills and experiences:
* An understanding of at least one of the following: signal processing, target track extraction, object classification algorithms, system, and sensor resource optimization.
* An appreciation of factors affecting the real-world performance of sensing systems and their impact on measurement accuracy and timeliness to meet design objectives and requirements.
* Demonstrated understanding and experience of Systems Engineering, including knowledge of standards (e.g., ISO 15288).
* Higher education (or equivalent experience) in a relevant STEM discipline.

The Radar Systems Engineering team:
You will work as a Senior Systems Engineer within our close-knit Multi-Function Radar team of interdisciplinary engineers, evolving our radar portfolio to address emerging and future threats in the realm of Future Air Dominance. With demonstrable experience in contemporary Systems Engineering, you will be an integral member of a growing team delivering next-generation solutions and developing our junior engineers. This role offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills and career within a global business.
You will be supported in expanding your knowledge of cutting-edge Radar techniques, with opportunities for technical leadership development.
Our workplace in Cowes is accessible from Southampton via ferry and shuttle service. We offer flexible working hours to help balance work and personal life, with a requirement to work on-site regularly due to the security classification of projects.
