Job Description:
A dedicated and passionate Computer Science/ IT/ Business Studies Teacher is required to work at a popular secondary school in Rochdale, Greater Manchester. The successful applicant should join full-time from September, teaching Key Stage 3 & 4 classes, on an ongoing basis, likely for the full academic year. There may be an opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
This position is five days a week, full-time, and open to ECTs as well as experienced teachers.
You will be expected to integrate fully within the department and school, attend departmental meetings, be available for parents’ evenings, and plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge students academically.
The school boasts good behaviour and attitudes, with students generally well-behaved both in lessons and around the school. Teachers' expectations for behaviour and achievement are high, with opportunities for students to engage in the local community and school activities.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
* Degree educated with a good classification, preferably in Computer Science/ IT/ Business Studies
* Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, QTS, etc) in relevant subjects
* Previous experience working with young people (references needed)
* Experience teaching in a secondary school (references needed)
* Up-to-date Safeguarding training (issued within the last year)
* Up-to-date Prevent awareness training (issued within the last 3 years)
* Up-to-date behaviour management & FGM training (training can be provided)
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost
* Provide a minimum of two professional references
