Charnwood Council are looking for an experienced Joiner to join them on a temporary contract. Working within the Housing Maintenance and Repair department, you will complete various joinery repairs, on housing which are both occupied and vacant. Duties to include:- 1. To support the Repairs Team. 2. Carry out all types of repairs and maintenance work allied to the joinery trade discipline. 3. Complete work to a high standard of quality and output. 4. Ensure that repairs are carried out promptly and within the appropriate time limits 5. Introduce yourself to the tenant, show proof of identify and explain the nature and purpose of the repair. 6. Liaise with other building trades as necessary for the efficient co-ordination of work activities. 7. Assist with other trades if required. 8. Able to complete all joinery repairs and replacements as well as any upgrades. 9. Able to identify and advise on correct action for all joinery and associated works. 10. Inspect items of disrepair. Assess options for repair or replacement and remedy. 11. Be responsible and aware of any safeguarding issues when within a tenant’s property and report. 12.
