HR Advisor (Employee Relations)
Contract: Fixed Term Contract (FTC) for 12 months; contingent hourly option considered.
Salary: Circa £50,000 or equivalent rates on contract depending on experience.
Working arrangement: Dynamic (hybrid) – 2 days per week on site, ideally.
Security Clearance: Minimum HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS) after offer; restrictions may apply.

The opportunity:
We are seeking an HR Advisor to join our Employee Relations (ER) team on a fixed term basis of 12 months. Our ideal candidate will have strong experience in complex case management, procedure/guidance development, trade union activities and terms & conditions writing, and who is solution focused with deep expertise on employment matters. A passion for enabling, evolving and embedding change through effective communication and engagement on all Employee Relations matters is essential.
What we're looking for from you:
We are looking for a knowledgeable, empathetic, resilient individual, with strong ER experience who can successfully communicate, influence and build relationships throughout the business at all levels. Experience working in a multi‑functional team providing logical solutions to complex issues is required.
This role contributes to the continued evolution of a collaborative culture and flexible/hybrid working environment. Tasks include: coaching and advising on innovative employee relations solutions; people‑related engagement activities; reviewing and implementing contract‑related solutions; developing resources to empower employees and managers; supporting a positive ER climate.
The role involves applying employment legislation knowledge in a business context, demonstrating high integrity, and being commercially astute.
Advanced coaching, facilitation and mediation skills and experience are required. The role will continue to build, engage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the business, including Trade Union Representatives and Company Ambassadors.
Experience working with Trade Unions or in a unionised environment and/or with Employee Representatives is an advantage.
