Project Manager (Mechanical) – PBSA
Location: Wirral – with site visits across the UK
Salary – £55-60k per annum plus car allowance
Our client is seeking a Project Manager (Mechanical) to join their Major Projects / BTR division on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to lead high-value mechanical building services projects in the £1m-£10m range, with a focus on high-rise residential developments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Leadership: Oversee mechanical and plumbing services, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget.
* Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with customers, designers, contractors, and project teams.
* Technical Oversight: Review designs, specifications, and compliance to maintain high standards.
* Site Coordination: Conduct regular site visits to inspect installations and ensure best practices.
* Commercial & Risk Management: Manage budgets, cash flow, and sub-contractors while mitigating risks.
* Quality & Compliance: Ensure all contractual obligations, safety regulations, and industry standards are met.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and plumbing building services.
* Proven project management experience in construction, ideally with high-rise residential projects.
* Minimum 8 years of experience in construction, with 5 years in contract management.
* IT proficiency (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel).
* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
* Ability to lead teams, drive project success, and deliver excellence.
Desirable Skills:
* Knowledge of electrical building services.
* Experience working with main contractors.
* Familiarity with Procore construction management software.
Package:
* £55-60k per annum plus car Allowance
