As we continue to expand our portfolio of fresh, chilled, and frozen products, we are seeking a talented and creative Development Chef to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your culinary expertise to create inspiring new dishes and contribute to the development of innovative potato-based products.
As a Development Chef, you will collaborate with our product development team and work closely with marketing to bring new culinary concepts to life. Your role will allow you to experiment with flavors, textures, and presentation, ensuring that our offerings meet the tastes and preferences of our customers while adhering to our high standards of quality.
Responsibilities
* Develop new recipes and product prototypes that align with market trends and customer preferences.
* Conduct taste-testing sessions with internal teams and external partners to gather feedback and refine recipes.
* Work closely with the production team to ensure feasibility and scalability of new product formulations.
* Provide culinary training and support to production staff to ensure proper execution of new recipes.
* Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in food technology, and flavor innovations.
* Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and product descriptions.
* Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations in all culinary activities.
* Restaurant experience with evidence of moving through the ranks before gaining Product Development experience with UK Retailers and FMCG Businesses.
* A broad and deep culinary understanding and cuisine knowledge
* Passionate about food
* Creative and skilled at interpreting ideas (verbal or visual) into products
* Creative mind-set.
* Strong & effective knowledgeable communicator & presenter.
* Organised & can manage own workload effectively.
* Capable of completing recipe documentation accurately, with good attention to detail.
* Good computer literacy, in particular Excel & PowerPoint
* Food Hygiene Level 2
