Advert Based in Renfrew and Johnstone you will be part of the HSCP Adult Services Locality Management Team. You will be working alongside 6 other Team Managers having direct management responsibility for a multidisciplinary team consisting of Social workers, Occupational therapists and Adult service coordinators. The locality teams work is varied crossing over several service user groups such as Physical disability, Mental Health, AWI, Adult Protection, learning difficulty, Addiction and Mental Health. The focus of your role will be to support and manage your team in the areas of Assessment and Care Management, Reviews, Self Directed support, Adult Support and Protection, Large scale inquiry, and Early response and Assessment. We are looking for high achieving manager who is fully committed to delivering positive outcomes for people and who work effectively with colleagues across Health and Council services. You will at all times retain a 360° view of your team’s functioning and actively manage the team’s performance and continually be looking for ways to improve the service. You will be supported by a strong and energetic management team. The main duties of the posts will include: providing supervision and workload management to the team; leading adult protection work, chairing relevant meetings; ensuring a high quality of service delivery; working in partnership with other agencies; contributing to operational planning. It is essential you have proven experience of leading and managing a service or team in line with professional standards and codes of practice, familiarity with policies and procedures which govern the role of manager and working knowledge of legislation and best practice as it impacts on social work practice Experience of effective budget management and accountability for service delivery, A thorough understanding of adult services within a local authority/ HSCP setting with the ability to build effective relationships with other professionals is also essential. You must have effective communication, decision making, and influencing skills, a positive, approachable manner and be flexible with effective leadership skills. You will be expected to record and monitor work using electronic case recording systems including eclipse and to be computer literate. Full training and support will be given to ensure that you are able to maintain the department’s commitment to continuous improvement. You must hold Degree level qualification, Degree in Social Work or Occupational Therapy, Diploma in Social Work (DipSw) or equivalent., and be registered with the SSSC. Applications from Mental Health Officers and Practice Teachers are particularly welcomed. An additional allowance is payable to practicing MHO’s. If successful, you will be required to undertake a PVG, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
