Duties and Responsibilities:
* Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
* Adhere to Personal Protective Equipment requirements.
* Inform shift Manger of problems and operational concerns.
* Participate in trouble shooting and problem resolutions.
* Participate in continuous process improvements.
* Perform other duties as required, including clean-up duties.
* Check the bagging machines are running on the correct settings
* Changing rolls on the bagging machines
* Cage Requirements against order and communicate with others
* Follow correct procedure for Fast Tacking orders
* Check Product being made is to the customers specification and special instructions have been followed if applicable
* Check that the fork truck check sheet has been done before using the fork lift truck
* You are required to scan and book finished products into the warehouse stock control system “SAP”
* check bookings are correct
* ensure that you fill cages correctly and safely
* Responsible for your line been kept clean and tidy and surrounding area. Including pulling any waste through the waste pickers.
General Description:
Never to operate the bagging machine out of its specification and always with Safety first, Quality of the product must always be to specification with the customers requirements adhered to.
Any quality issues report to your Team leader or shift Manager
Opening and closing orders, managing and controlling finished orders along with correct bookings to cages.
Your ability to scan and count correctly is important and you must not allow your team to fail and make constant mistakes on stocks.
Skills:
* Computer literate.
* Physically fit.
* Work well under pressure
* Good communication skills
Knowledge Experience & Qualifications:
* GSCE (or equivalent) In Maths and English Language.
* Demonstrated proficiency, through pre-employment testing, in reading comprehension, writing and basic maths calculations in the English language.
* Knowledge and use of computerised equipment and machinery is preferred.
* Previous experience in a production/manufacturing and warehousing environment is preferred.
* To have worked in a warehouse and have experience with stock systems such has “SAP”
* Able to use problem solving techniques to help minimise production down time.
* FLT licence (Counterbalance)
