The role
As a Commercial Specialist, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will support the Through Life Equipment Support business stream within our Land sector operations.
Day-to-day, you'll manage and coordinate contract taskings with the wider delivery team, supporting ITT's for new contracts bids, amongst also supporting customer and supply chain team with contract queries.
1. Coordinate and manage new bid proposals through the Babcock Gated process, ensuring compliance with all relevant procedures and guidelines.
2. Provide strategic commercial expertise to support the efficient and timely submission of proposals, meeting quality standards and contractual requirements.
3. Oversee Contract management activities, ensuring deliverables are achieved in line with milestones set and supporting the team with risk identification and mitigation.
4. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers and stakeholders, to align commercial strategies with overall project objectives.
5. Proven adaptability to evolving project scopes and dynamic environments.
6. Strategic and quick thinker with a collaborative approach to driving successful project results.
Please note that this position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role.
This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements and is based at our Andover site.

Essential experience of the Commercial Specialist
7. Experience of contract management including diligent document control, reporting, drafting
8. Previous commercial and contract management experience
9. Commercial and business awareness
10. Previous practical experience developing proposals
11. Demonstrable ability to successfully support and conduct negotiations with third parties, (both internal and external stakeholders)
Qualifications for the Commercial Specialist
12. Qualified to degree level or equivalent (e.g. WCC / IACCM) or equivalent experience in a commercial discipline
13. Hold a degree or equivalent in Law (e.g. LLB / LLM) is desirable
14. Holding CIPS qualification is also advantageous
