The Opportunity
We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join the team at the Perle Oban Hotel & Spa on a full-time, permanent basis at 40 hours per week.
This is a hands-on role responsible for helping maintain the smooth day-to-day operation of the hotel. From guest rooms and public spaces to essential back-of-house systems, your work will play a key role in ensuring the property is safe, functional, and maintained to high standards. What You'll Be Doing
* Determining whether machinery, equipment and technical installations need to be repaired, as well as completing our systems' and equipment's preventive maintenance
* Maintaining and repairing our plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen and HVAC systems and equipment
* Determining appropriate remedial actions for mechanical and related equipment failures
* Complete pre-preventive maintenance (PPM) and residual circuit device checks (RCD), to an excellent level of quality
* Having the physical capability of performing demanding tasks such as bending over, climbing ladders, crawling into awkward places, standing, or walking for extended periods of time
* Working closely with the Operations Manager and the Projects, Building & Estates Manager in making sure that preventative and maintenance priorities are up to date and executed to a high standard of excellence.
* Practice our health and safety measures at all times
* Follow the hotel's guest relations policy, including always politely addressing our guests and ensuring 100% guest satisfaction
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role, ideally within hospitality or a similar environment
* Good all-round maintenance knowledge, including electrical, plumbing, and general repair work
* Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach
* Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
* Comfortable carrying out physically demanding tasks
* A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider hotel team
* Awareness of health & safety procedures and safe working practices
