Contracts Manager – Refurbishment Projects

We are a small, well-established construction company based in Burton upon Trent, specialising in a wide range of commercial refurbishment projects. Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team.
This is a key role within the business, ideal for a proactive and commercially aware individual who is comfortable managing multiple projects and working closely with site teams, clients, and directors.
Key Responsibilities:

Managing multiple refurbishment projects from pre-start through to completion
*
Overseeing Site Managers and supporting site teams
*
Programming works and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
*
Maintaining strong client relationships and attending progress meetings
*
Ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality, and company procedures
*
Managing subcontractor performance and procurement
*
Monitoring costs, variations, and project profitability
*
Supporting tender reviews and pre-construction planning
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within refurbishment or fit-out works
*
Strong understanding of construction processes, H&S, and contract management
*
Experience managing multiple live projects simultaneously
*
Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
*
Ability to work autonomously in a small business environment
*
Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
*
Background in commercial refurbishments
*
SMSTS and relevant H&S qualifications
