Truly unique opportunity to join a global PE-backed sports startup – founded by professional athletes – to support their continued international expansion.
They have built a high-calibre team, with a leadership team assembled from pioneering sporting organisations and global tech giants.
Key Responsibilities as Credit Controller:
Accounts Receivable & Credit Control
* Manage invoicing and collections processes to ensure timely payments.
* Monitor outstanding debt and follow up with customers professionally.
* Produce debtor reports and support cash flow management activities.
* Resolve payment queries and maintain strong customer relationships.
Accounts Payable & Finance Operations
* Process supplier invoices and coordinate payment runs.
* Ensure transactions are accurately recorded and supported.
* Handle supplier queries efficiently and maintain strong financial controls.
* Assist with month-end processes and account reconciliations.
Process Improvement & Compliance
* Support VAT, audit, and compliance activities.
* Identify opportunities to improve finance procedures and reporting.
* Act as a key contact for finance-related operational queries.
Key Requirements:
* Previous experience within Credit Control, Accounts Receivable/Payable, Bookkeeping, or Finance Operations.
* Strong Excel skills
* Strong communicator with natural relationship building skills
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing startup
* Good working knowledge of accounting systems such as Xero, Sage, NetSuite, or similar
* A genuine interest / background in sports is essential
