Pineheath Ward provides quality, patient-centred care within a 24-bed unit, offering rehabilitation to patients with diverse needs, including palliative care. We accept adult patients of all ages following medical, surgical, or orthopaedic treatment, sometimes directly from their homes.

The role involves rotation between day and night shifts; full and part-time positions are available. Our focus is on continually improving care quality and access, facilitating seamless service transitions.

Responsibilities include:
1. Carrying out instructions from the Registered Nurse (RN) accurately and promptly.
2. Performing duties as per the trust's Core Task List for Clinical Support Workers within assessed competence.
3. Reporting concerns or changes in patient conditions to registered staff.
4. Supporting patients' emotional well-being and participation in ward activities.
5. Documenting all care accurately and maintaining confidentiality.
6. Responding appropriately to clinical emergencies.
7. Adhering to all trust policies, procedures, and guidelines.
8. Welcoming patients and assisting during admission processes.
9. Maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment.
10. Following infection control procedures.
11. Supporting relatives under RN guidance.
12. Assisting with patient discharge processes as directed.

Professional/Educational requirements:
1. Up-to-date mandatory training, including safeguarding.
2. Completion of the Care Certificate or relevant experience.
3. Flexibility to meet patient needs.
4. Engagement in personal development and supervision.
5. Knowledge of policies and procedures.
6. Participation in training and annual appraisals.
