Where you will be working Encyclis Protos Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) is located within the Protos energy and resource hub, near Ellesmere Port in Cheshire. Currently under construction, when complete, this impressive two-line facility will have the capacity to divert up to 500,000 tonnes of residual waste away from landfill every year, generating sustainable electricity for up to 90,000 homes. The Opportunity The Procurement Manager role in our facilities contributes to Encyclis’s success by effectively leading, developing and executing product and services sourcing strategies for the assigned facilities. The position implements the facility procurement process such that all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations are maintained. The position is responsible for the coordination of all procurement activities, ensuring that programs, initiatives, cost reduction, corporate social responsibility and plant/regional/ corporate synergies are achieved. The position manages suppliers and internal networks to deliver best in class performance for all spend categories while consistently delivering measurable results to achieve a competitive advantage for top line and bottom line facility growth. The position collaborates effectively internally and externally with suppliers, develops effective negotiation strategies in conjunction with the Head of Procurement, and the facilities. The position reports to the Head of procurement. This role is a corporate one, with category management responsibilities across all Encyclis facilities, further supporting the One Encyclis company approach. This role will be split between facilities, and based in either Protos, Ellesmere Port or Newhurst, Loughborough with extensive travel between all facilities. What we need from you… Key Duties & Responsibilities of the role Supplier qualification and relationship management: · Request for Proposal (RFP), Bid receipt, market comparisons, evaluation and analysis and clarifications · Tender management for scheduled maintenance outages · Category management responsibilities · Completion of procurement activities (negotiations, awarding of contracts, follow-up, management and dispute resolutions) · Purchase order placement and expediting · Administration of cost reduction and supplier quality assurance programs · Performance Analysis and compliance oversight of suppliers to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts · Compiling data for preparing cost reporting in support of the annual budgeting process · Providing site training and instruction of all personnel for Procurement systems · Management of supplier interface, strengthening the supplier database through the use of supplier visits and technical conferences · Directing and coordinating the activities of facility personnel who are engaged in formulating requests for proposals for the facility Education & Experience Education: · A Bachelor’s Degree is required; preferably Supply Chain, Finance, or a technical discipline · MCIPS certification is highly desired. Experience: · 5 years of procurement and supply management experience is required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: · Extensive stakeholder management expertise · Experience in working between office and highly industrial environments · High level of safety awareness · Strength in developing commercially beneficial partnerships with both key stakeholders as well as suppliers · Demonstrated negotiation skills with an ability to make decisions based on data and trends · Understanding of regional labour markets related to labour subcontracting and contract services a plus · Working proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) is required with knowledge of Dynamic 365 and Project based planning tools like MS Project strongly preferred · An ability to develop and report key performance indicators (KPIs) as well as site-level processes where needed · An understanding of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) modelling, contracts, and change management · Strength in communicating critical information to a variety of stakeholders with differing levels of expertise · The ability to effectively conduct facility tours on a regular basis · Willingness to travel to other Encyclis facilities for project management.
