Job Details:
1. Pay: Competitive Basic Salary
2. Hours of Work: Day Shift – 35.25 hours per week
Week One Mon - Wed (06:05-17:50) (Working 11.75 hrs per day)
Week Two Thu - Sat (06:05-17:50) (Working 11.75 hrs per day)
3. Duration: Permanent
4. Job Role: The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for setting and operating advanced CNC turn/mill machining centres within a precision engineering environment. The Manufacturing Technician will primarily work with Mazak Integrex machines, producing high-quality components from stainless steels and heat resistant super alloys to extremely fine tolerances. Duties for the Manufacturing Technician include setting multi-axis CNC machinery, interpreting technical drawings, performing quality checks using hard gauging and CMM equipment, and ensuring all components meet strict engineering standards.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
5. Previous experience working as a Manufacturing Technician or in a similar precision engineering role
6. Experience of twin turret machining
7. Strong knowledge of Mazatrol Smooth controls
8. Previous experience working with Mazak CNC machinery
9. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
10. NVQ / City & Guilds qualification or equivalent in a relevant mechanical engineering discipline, preferably within manufacturing engineering
11. Previous experience working with a Mazak Integrex machine
12. Ability to programme CNC machines
