Overview
Clinical Fellowship programme embedded within the Departments of Ambulatory Care and Acute General Medicine at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Work alongside a team of 16 fellows and 22 consultants in a well‑resourced unit.
Key Responsibilities
* 80% clinical work across Acute Medicine and Ambulatory settings at John Radcliffe, Horton and other locations.
* Clinical duties include short days, long days on call, out‑of‑hours weekend work and occasional nights.
* 1 non‑clinical day per week focused on leadership, quality improvement, research, teaching and point‑of‑care ultrasound.
* Support implementation of an "ambulatory by default" model and deliver service transformation projects such as pathway development, patient‑centred outcome measures and telemedicine.
* Investigate and evaluate processes, provide education to medical students and trainees, and contribute to national forums on ambulatory care.
Qualifications & Experience
* F2+ level doctor, eligible for out‑of‑programme or recognised training (subject to Deanery approval).
* Strong clinical foundation in acute and ambulatory medicine.
* Interest or experience in point‑of‑care ultrasound, research, quality improvement or leadership is desirable.
* Commitment to a minimum of one year of fellowship and willingness to leave specialist training programme for the duration.

* Full‑time role with additional scheduled on‑call hours.
