The Role
This position supports small batch CNC turning work for high-quality transmission components in motorsport and aerospace, working within a small, focused team and supported by offline programming tools.
Key Competencies And Experience
* Proven ability to interpret technical drawings and planning route cards to produce components to the highest quality, within routed timeframes
* Experience working on CNC lathes, including:
o Victor Turn II 26 HD
o Leadwell LTC 25iL with Siemens 828D
o Doosan Puma GT3100
* Familiarity with Fanuc controls is essential; knowledge of Siemens controls is advantageous
* Ability to read, understand, and edit CNC programmes, including adjusting speeds and feeds as necessary
* Working knowledge of turning tips and their correct applications
* Advantageous: experience operating a small manual lathe and/or Harrison Alpha 400 Plus NC lathe
* Comfortable working in a small team with a proactive and innovative approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
* Flexible in supporting other areas of manufacturing when required
* Willingness to work additional hours to help meet delivery deadlines
