You'll be someone who can work pro-actively, managing your own tasks, but you'll also be confident collaborating with others, communicating regularly with senior managers, Directors, and BDO's Partners to enable us to serve our clients effectively. You'll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to our clients. We are looking for someone with:
* In-depth, up-to-date knowledge of taxation with specialist expertise and the ability to deal with complex tax issues.
* Project and staff management experience, and ability to manage a substantial client portfolio profitably while actively seeking opportunities to develop new clients and sell new services to existing ones.
* Ability to provide tax compliance and advisory services to a wide range of clients using resources from a shared service team or technology tools.
* Experience managing a substantial portfolio of clients, including client intake, engagement control, billings, identifying opportunities to improve recoveries, and cash collection.
* Understanding of potential risks to the firm related to quality control procedures and raising issues to the appropriate person.
* Guiding and supervising less experienced colleagues, providing support, training, and mentoring where appropriate.
* Experience leading complex projects.
* Education to degree level and/or qualification as CTA, ACA, or equivalent.
* Demonstrable post-qualified experience.
You will provide tax advisory services to start‑ups and scale‑ups, private businesses, and FTSE listed multinationals, building long‑lasting relationships across a range of sectors.
