As Principal Electronics Engineer you will be joining an established business unit and team of multi-disciplined engineers. You will be working on new technologies and products to enter to Aerospace industry providing cutting edge solutions. The day to day responsibilities will include; Contribution and development of product and technology roadmapsArchitecture/ design of new electronic sub-systems and PCBsWorking to system and hardware requirementsPrepare and produce technical estimations for non-recurring costs and resource requirementsWorking to engineering processes and practices including frameworks life cycle processes and requirementsSupervise and occasionally lead more junior staff and techniciansWork closely with and support the product design authority (in particular when responding to tech queries and proposals)Contribute as the SME on technical proposalsPreparation and maintain up to date technical documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas; Working closely with multi-disciplined teams to derive requirementsElectronics architecture, high end design and high speed designDesign experience in analogue, digital and power supplyFamiliarity in electronics technology and interfaces including, High speed ADC/DAC, JESD204B, RS232/422, UART, SPI etcSchematics (Altium)PCB Layout and designs, verificationDesign phase lifecycle experience (lifecycle management)Test (including lab test equipment and test and cost)Degree in Electronic Engineering or similarSome project leadership capabilities To be considered for this role, the Electronics Engineer must be eligible for security clearance (UKSC) and have experience working in a similar role within the Aerospace or Defence industry.
