About the role
As a Partner on our service counters, you'll have the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and passion for food, with pride in its ethical sourcing, while recommending recipes to customers. You'll bring our ethos - passionate Partners serving food lovers - to life.
You will use your enthusiasm and friendliness to build lasting relationships with customers, enhancing their impression of the Waitrose brand and encouraging loyalty. Your efforts will help maximize sales and profit.
Key Responsibilities
* Take responsibility for your food counter, ensuring high presentation and hygiene standards.
* Manage stock levels to ensure popular products are available.
* Handle open food carefully, following all health & safety protocols and reducing food wastage.
* Stay informed about new products and understand Waitrose's food values, such as animal welfare.
* Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks as needed.
Essential skills/experience you'll need
* Effective communication skills for teamwork and customer interactions.
Desirable skills/experience you may have
* Experience in a customer-facing role.
* Experience in catering or hospitality.
* Interest and knowledge of food and drink trends.
* Flexible approach to support the branch as a whole.
