Commercial Accountant
Full Time | £40,000 - £50,000
This role sits at the centre of a busy operational site, supporting performance through accurate reporting and clear financial insight. You will work closely with both finance and operational teams, helping to track performance, understand costs, and ensure the numbers reflect what is actually happening day to day. It is a hands-on role where you will be expected to question, investigate and contribute to better decision-making — not just produce reports.
Responsibilities
* Producing and reviewing regular performance and management information
* Tracking costs, margins and key site KPIs
* Investigating stock movements and resolving discrepancies
* Supporting budgeting, forecasting and ongoing analysis
* Ensuring overheads, accruals and prepayments are accurately recorded
* Highlighting trends, risks and opportunities to key stakeholders
* Contributing to improvements in reporting, processes and systems
* You will be visible across the site, working with non-finance teams and building relationships to better understand what is driving performance.
Qualifications / What we are looking for
* Experience in a management accounts or commercially focused finance role
* Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data
* Able to turn numbers into clear, practical insight
* Comfortable communicating with both finance and operational teams
* Organised, with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Manufacturing or production experience would be useful, but not essential
