A leading groundworks and civil engineering contractor is seeking an HSE Coordinator to join their team based at their head office in Redditch. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) management within a professional, fast-paced construction environment.
Role Overview:
The HSE Coordinator will play a key administrative and support role within the Health & Safety team, helping to maintain compliance, manage documentation, and ensure effective communication between site teams and the head office.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and update HSE documentation, registers, and records across multiple projects
* Support the preparation of audits, inspections, and compliance reports
* Assist with incident reporting and follow-up actions
* Collate and track training records, certifications, and inductions for site personnel
* Manage safety data and ensure documentation is stored and accessible in line with company procedures
* Support the coordination of toolbox talks, HSE meetings, and communications between head office and site teams
* Provide general administrative support to the HSE Manager and wider safety team
Experience & Requirements:
* Previous experience in an administrative role within a construction or HSE environment preferred
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn within a growing business
