Job Description

Product Selling:

1. Create strategic market plans for selling products (short term/long term).
2. Sell products in compliance with the company's sales goals and profitability,, Revenue, EBITDA, and cash flow.
3. Identify current and future customer product requirements by establishing a personal rapport with customers, and to understand the market and their requirements.
4. Establish new accounts by identifying potential customers; planning and organizing sales calls & meetings.
5. Recommend improvements in products and service, evaluating results and competitive developments.

General Tasks:

6. Research and Analysis Articulate market requirements and opportunities.
7. Identify key competitor and consumer trends. Recognize opportunities that produce the greatest value, increased profitability, market share and growth opportunities.
8. Distinguish opportunities vs risks.

Marketing:

9. Lead marketing activities by recommending and attending trade shows, conferences, and other approved events.
10. Create and present product demonstrations and presentations at trade shows and customer visits.
11. Persuade clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price, and delivery.
12. Identify and articulate general and specific value propositions of Hoffman products.
13. Support and manage the sales activities of Authorized Distributors.

Customer Focus Customer communication:

14. Own the entire customer relationship/health of the account.
15. Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education, and after-sales support services.
16. Create and provide technical data packages for submittal to customers to obtain engineering part approvals, as required. Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; making recommendations to management.
17. Proactively support Quality Assurance and Engineering Departments on RMA/FAR activities with customer-specific details and insights (, technical data, customer perspectives/feedback, etc.).
18. Also review draft FARs and provide constructive feedback to ensure the report is responsive to the customer's observations and concerns.
19. Contribute to the development of marketing materials for sales activities (, trade shows/ conferences, customer visits, etc.).
20. Substantially contribute content/writing to the material with an emphasis on identifying product value proposition, benefits, and materials' areas of emphasis.

The Successful Applicant

Education:

21. Bachelor of Science preferred or 5+ years equivalent technical sales experience in the aerospace aviation or Military market.
22. Preferably in the Aerospace and Defense Industry/Engineering. Other degrees with relevant industry experience are acceptable

Knowledge Requirements:

23. Technical Sales experience in commercial aerospace and MRO markets.
24. Technical or engineering background with non-commodity-based products preferred.
25. Commercial aviation distribution sales and management experience a plus.
26. Knowledge and appreciation for business financials.
27. Experience using an online CRM and disciplined BD/Sales milestone methodology.
28. Experience working cross-functionally with other departments as a technical and product resource.

Travel:

29. In office 4 days a week (5 days a week during first 90 days) in CT
30. 25% (regional and national)

$100,000 - $120,000 Base Salary w/ 20% annual bonus.
