Relief Support Practitioners£13.45 per hourWe are currently recruiting enthusiastic and compassionate Support Practitioners to join our friendly team at our Peebles service.The Peebles service provides support to individuals within the town which enables them to live full lives and be involved in the local community. We are currently looking for passionate, enthusiastic individuals that are driven to promote independence and life skills to our supported people ensuring they receive the best possible support in their daily lives. We are a busy little service actively involved in attending local activities and groups in Peebles.
We support a wide range on people with their day to day living. This includes days out to Edinburgh, Galashiels or wherever the supported person wishes to go; bowling, gym, swimming, cinema, holidays, weekends away, enjoying meals out, attending appointments and shopping.If you are enthusiastic about supporting people to live their best lives then apply now to join our team!Your main duties will include but not be limited to:Working with colleagues as part of an effective and efficient team to support vulnerable people.Communicate and work well with our supported people to provide individual care and maintain appropriate relationships.Being responsible in supporting individuals throughout the activities, giving positive feedback and encouragement.Updating and maintaining accurate records using a tablet on Arks Information Management system.What is Relief?As a Relief Support Practitioner, you do not have contracted hours.
This provides flexibility, allowing you to pick up shifts that suit your availability.Please note: Relief work is offered on an as and when basis to cover sickness absence, study leave, and other staffing needs.
