A Typical Day in the Role
As a Business Administration Apprentice, you’ll be involved in a wide variety of tasks, including:
* Office coordination – supporting the daily activities of the transport office and ensuring smooth communication across teams.
* Data entry and record keeping – accurately updating systems with driver hours, delivery information, and vehicle details.
* Customer service – answering calls and emails from customers, depots, and suppliers, providing updates or resolving queries.
* Document management – maintaining up-to-date records such as delivery notes, compliance documents, and vehicle maintenance logs.
* Planning support – assisting the team with scheduling, route planning, and operational paperwork.
* Compliance and administration – helping to monitor key documents such as tachograph data, insurance certificates, and driver records.
* General office duties – filing, photocopying, organising paperwork, and helping prepare reports for management.
What You’ll Learn
During your apprenticeship, you’ll gain valuable experience and knowledge in:
* Business administration processes and best practices
* Office organisation and workflow management
* Effective communication and customer service
* Using industry‑standard software and transport management systems
* Understanding transport operations and compliance requirements
* Working as part of a professional logistics team
You’ll also work towards achieving a Level 3 Business Administrator qualification, supported by your employer and training provider.

Requirements
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, Grade 4/C or above preferred
* Eligible to enrol on a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship
* Right to work in the UK
* Willingness to learn and develop within a supportive team environment
