Overview
Dudley Performing Arts (DPA) is a leading delivery partner within the Black Country Music Education Hub. We provide high-quality music tuition across schools, academies, colleges, and other educational settings throughout the Dudley borough. Our work supports the National Plan for Music Education and includes small group and individual tuition, whole-class teaching, early years music, and a wide range of performance ensembles. We are expanding our team and are seeking vocal and instrumental teachers (all instruments) to join us as casual staff.
Our tutors work across over 90% of Dudley schools, delivering a broad and exciting programme of music education. Opportunities include:
* One-to-one and small group tuition (beginner to undergraduate level)
* Whole-class instrumental teaching
* Early years music sessions
* Work in special education settings
* Leading bands, choirs, and ensembles
* Contributing to our growing out-of-school Music School at Cable Plaza
Responsibilities
* Deliver a range of music education programs as a casual staff member
* Provide one-to-one and small group tuition, up to undergraduate level
* Deliver whole-class instrumental teaching and early years music sessions
* Work with learners in special education settings
* Lead and participate in bands, choirs, and ensembles
* Support the growing Music School activities at our facility
Qualifications and Experience
* Strong musical skills and a desire to inspire young people
* Experience is valued, but we are also committed to developing musicians who are new to education
* Musicians from all backgrounds and specialisms are welcome

* Position: Casual staff (vocal and instrumental teachers)
* Terms: Tailored casual terms and conditions; access to the Teachers’ Pension Scheme
* Location: Across Dudley borough schools and our facilities
