Teaching Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded SEN school in Shepherd’s Bush looking for a dedicated Year 4 SEN (Autism) Teacher to join their team this September.
About the Role:
* Plan and deliver tailored lessons to Year 4 pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
* Adapt curriculum and teaching approaches to meet the individual needs outlined in EHCPs
* Work closely with SENCO, teaching assistants, and multi-disciplinary teams to support pupil development
* Promote positive behaviour strategies and nurture an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, maintaining detailed records and communicating with parents and carers
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Proven experience teaching Year 4 pupils with Autism in an SEN setting
* Strong knowledge of Autism-specific strategies such as TEACCH, PECS, or Makaton
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills
* Patience, empathy, and commitment to personalised learning
