:Site Maintenance Assistant (1 day per week)
Responsible to:Site Manager
Purpose of the Role:To assist with the upkeep, safety, and security of the school site and premises, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:Premises & MaintenanceCarry out minor repairs and maintenance (e.g. replacing light bulbs, fixing furniture, unblocking drains).
Report major repairs or hazards to the Site Manager.
Support planned maintenance tasks as directed.Health & SafetyAssist in maintaining a safe working environment, following school health & safety procedures., including checking doors, windows, and gates.
Cleaning & UpkeepAssist cleaning staff with heavy-duty or emergency cleaning tasks.Ensure external areas (playgrounds, car parks, pathways) are safe and free from hazards.
Carry out seasonal tasks such as gritting pathways in icy weather.General DutiesMove furniture and equipment as required for events or classroom setups.Accept and check deliveries, ensuring they are safely stored.Undertake any reasonable duties as requested by the Site Manager or Headteacher.
Ability to work flexibly and independently.Awareness of health & safety.Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.DesirableExperience in a school or similar environment.Knowledge of basic safeguarding responsibilities.First aid or manual handling training.Hours of Work:1 day per week (hours to be agreed with the Site Manager; some flexibility may be required for school events or emergencies).

Pay: From £24,309.00 per year
