<div><h3>Role Overview</h3><p>Finance Assistant – Tanworth in Arden CofE Primary School, South Warwickshire.</p><p>Salary: Band E (NJC Scale 5‑6) Pro Rata.</p><p>Hours: 17.5 hours per week, 3.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday. Working weeks: 39 weeks.</p><p>Contract: Permanent, anticipated start as soon as possible. Closing date: 26 June 2026 (midday).</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Work under general instruction and guidance, handling a range of administrative processes and tasks that are covered by established procedures, prioritising own workload.</li><li>Produce documents from drafts or amend standard formats on a computer.</li><li>Input or retrieve information on financial packages using initiative where necessary.</li><li>Provide administrative support to the Wraparound service operated by the school.</li><li>Work is governed by established processes/procedures and complex problems are referred upwards.</li><li>Exercise initiative and receive short induction, with specific training or previous relevant experience.</li><li>Supervise involves some budgetary responsibility.</li><li>Contribute to the school’s statutory duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Education: Minimum GCSE/GCE O Level /CSE grade 1 in literacy and numeracy.</li><li>Ability to write letters, take minutes, maintain budget records, and work with databases.</li><li>Previous knowledge of accounting software such as Access.</li><li>Previous experience or formal training in finance/administration.</li><li>Use initiative within recognised procedures and handle unexpected problems with guidance as needed.</li><li>Ability to respond to varied problems, develop solutions, and apply ideas created by others.</li><li>Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people; value and respect the views and needs of children.</li><li>Familiarity with all office equipment and administrative/word‑processing software packages.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills; able to develop and maintain good relationships with colleagues, parents, pupils, and exchange information daily.</li></ul><h3>Equal Opportunity Statement</h3><p>We are committed to being an inclusive employer.
