Head Chef : Boutique Hotel and Restaurant (Kensington, London)

Our client is a newly refurbished boutique hotel in Kensington, due to reopen December 2025.
We seek a creative, hands:on Head Chef to lead a small, passionate team and make our restaurant a destination.
What you will do
* Lead and manage a kitchen team of 5 staff.
* Design and drive a menu of modern small plates, visually striking and Instagram:friendly.
* Deliver consistent, high quality food service for around 32 covers per night.
* Monitor food costs, quality control, and kitchen hygiene.
* Collaborate with front of house to ensure smooth guest experience.
* Stay on top of new trends in food, plating, and presentation.
* Train and mentor your team.
Who you are
* You have prior head chef or senior chef experience in a boutique or upscale environment.
* You thrive in intimate settings, where creativity matters as much as consistency.
* You have a good sense of aesthetics and plating.
* You know how to manage costs, yields, and supplier relationships.
* You communicate clearly and confidently.
* You adapt quickly and stay calm under pressure.
