Overview
Secondary School – Youth Worker in Hulme (M15). Prospero Teaching are working with a Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) school catering for pupils with EHCP plans and additional needs. The aim is to support pupils aged 11–16 (KS3/4) who have experienced trauma, neglect or chaotic home life.
Responsibilities
* Build connections with students and act as a mentor and role model.
* Forge strong relationships to support engagement in the classroom and beyond.
* Provide mentoring skills across coaching approaches (sports, drama, counselling) to help individuals engage with the school.
* Support pupils in the classroom and on vocational activities outside the classroom.

Experience, Training and Qualifications
* Previous experience in SEMH/PRU settings preferred.
* Level 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent and above preferred.
* GCSE Maths and English; computer literate.
Eligibility
* Hold Right to Work in the UK.
* Hold an enhanced child DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
* Provide two professional child-related references covering at least the last two years.
