The Details: Job Title: Building Surveyor (Responsive Repairs & Complex Disrepair) Salary: FTC or daily rates £400 per day (100K if umbrella or £78K Paye 12K in holiday pay) Full-time 6-12 month contract Location: West London hybrid working- office based 2 days per week What You'll Do Manage responsive repairs and disrepair cases across a range of residential properties. Lead surveys and inspections, diagnosing building defects and recommending remedial works. Oversee contractors, ensuring high-quality and compliant repairs. Monitor financial performance, budgets, and contract compliance. Liaise with residents, stakeholders, and internal teams to resolve minor repairs and complex disrepair issues Ensure compliance with housing regulations, the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018, and relevant safety legislation. What We're Looking For: Experience in responsive repairs, disrepair claims, or building maintenance. Strong contract management skills - ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Knowledge of building pathology, housing legislation, and repair standards. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Confident using Excel and project management software.
