We have an exciting opportunity for an Equine Veterinary Customer Care team member to join our busy team. The position will include reception duties, booking in equine clients and hospital consultations/investigations, taking payments, answering phones and organising diaries, handling medications, working with vets and nurses and support staff within the practice. About The Role This is an exciting opportunity for a highly professional, efficient administrator, with first-class customer service skills. Your duties/responsibilities will include: Answering phones and booking appointments Responding to queries via phone, in person and email Undertaking and maintaining effective administration processes, protocols and procedures Daily miscellaneous administration tasks/emails The rota includes working Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00am-5:30pm with flexibility to cover other shifts, weekend currently Saturday mornings on a equal shared rota. What We're Looking For In Our Receptionist/Administrator Previous equine experience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus! Experience of working in a busy and challenging environment, with the ability to adapt to change and multi-task Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations An excellent communicator with strong empathy Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems Come and join our team Pool House Equine Hospital has been a significant part of the community for a great many years and has been a beacon of high-quality veterinary care for our clients.
