Overview
We are excited to advertise this new post in General Adult Psychiatry in the Chorley Community team. The post is substantive and part‑time (5 PAs) and will be based at Chorley Health Centre. The Chorley CMHT is one of three teams covering Preston, Chorley and South Ribble. The post will also provide input into the IRS team based in Leyland. This is a new post which has been developed due to the previous substantive post holder relocating and a change in the service.
As a Consultant Psychiatrist your role will be to carry a compact caseload of the most complex and unstable cases. In addition you will be available to provide consultation and advice to other team members and participate on the Consultant On‑Call rota, for which additional remuneration will be paid.
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration and included on the Specialist register of the GMC, or eligibility to gain entry to the Specialist Register within six months of the interview date.
* Section 12 Approved at the time of commencing employment and have or be eligible to have Approved Clinician Status.
* Applicable Disclosure and Barring Service check; a charge may be made to the successful candidate(s) if the post is subject to DBS disclosure.
Other Requirements
* Minimum of 1.5 SPAs as standard for a part‑time post (flexible enhancements may be considered to support other activities that further the wider ambitions of the Trust).
* Part of the New Consultant Contract remuneration scheme, according to previous experience.
