Overview

The Health in Justice team at Practice Plus Group makes a real difference across over 53 prisons, young offenders and immigration removal centres. This role is a full-time Pharmacy Technician position within a secure environment, with an annual salary up to £40,211 per year (depending on experience). Offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks. A Legal right to work in the UK is required.


Responsibilities

* Assist with the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service, taking into consideration the need to maintain a high level of security at all times.
* Work within the healthcare department and hold direct patient contact, which will be part of a comprehensive healthcare package based on the prison services needs.
* Promote safe patient care.
* Develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.


Requirements / Qualifications

* Hold NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications and have current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Relevant post-qualification experience working within a pharmacy environment and multi-disciplinary team.
* Ability to work within a busy environment and unsupervised while following policy and procedures.
* Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.

* Working patterns: Week 1 includes Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday; Week 2 includes Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. View to work 1 in 4 weekends soon.
