St John Rigby College offers a wide range of academic and vocational courses at all levels in a highly supportive and caring environment to approximately 1500 full-time students aged 16-18. In January 2024 the College retained its Ofsted “outstanding” judgement with inspectors commenting; “students are highly motivated to achieve” They embody the culture of kindness, mutual respect and high expectation that permeate the college”. In December 2023, the “outstanding” inspection report from the Catholic Schools Inspectorate began with; “St John Rigby College is a joyful, happy and supportive community.”

Teacher of Health and Social Care fixed term contract to cover maternity leave

Start Date: January 2026

Hours per week 1.0 FTE

Working pattern Monday to Friday

Tenure Fixed Term from January 2026 to January 2027

Salary/Grade: Sixth Form College’s Teacher Pay Scale - £32,178 to £49,725

We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and inspirational teacher to join our team, who is keen to contribute to the classroom experience of our students. You will be highly motivated and resilient, with a genuine desire to improve the lives of our young people.
