Hayward Hawk is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper on a full-time, permanent basis.
This role offers the opportunity to grow professionally and contribute to our client's ongoing success. It is a hybrid role.
Responsibilities:
1. Record all financial transactions accurately in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage).
2. Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial documents for consistency.
3. Manage and process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
4. Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and trial balances, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
5. Assist with VAT returns, PAYE, and other tax-related documentation.
6. Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
7. Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and documentation.
8. Support budgeting, financial forecasting, and analysis.
9. Assist auditors during year-end financial audits with documentation and explanations.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
* Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Office.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work independently and in a team.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Knowledge of VAT, payroll, and tax regulations.
