Phoenix Water Technologies (PWT), are a well-respected industrial water treatment company established in 2003. Predominantly serving the power, petrochemical and paper industries, PWT supply a specialist service providing bespoke designs, refurbishment and service of water treatment plant including Pre-treatment, Ion Exchange Demin, Reverse Osmosis and Electro Deionization plants.

Job Location:
This is a field-based role with some home-working that involves travelling to sites throughout the UK and Ireland. Ideally living in the South Yorkshire/Humberside area, we will aim to keep the work local but occasionally will be required to stay overnight in a good standard hotel nearby to the job site.
Job Role:
As a Service Engineer you will be expected to provide our clients an efficient professional service. Providing corrective/preventive maintenance of our customer's water treatment plant, including component/media replacement plus occasional emergency response. Carryout installation/commissioning work on new plant/equipment both process and electrical if trained, following on to provide after-sales technical support. As part of this role, working from home you will also be required to assist in writing method statements/risk assessments, job reports and project management etc. You will occasionally be expected to work out of normal operating hours.
The Person:
To be considered this for this varied interesting role you will need to have the following;
* NVQ or higher in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or similar or working towards.
* GCSE or equivalent – English and Maths. A full UK driving license required.
* Experience within the water treatment industry.
* Strong communication skills both verbally and written, with the versatility to communicate at all levels in a clear and concise manner.
* A professional approach to your work and communication with colleagues and customers.
* Knowledge of programming PLC/HMI control systems would be an advantage but not essential.
* A good level of IT competency.
* Willing to take sites ownership within a regional area.
* Good organizational skills with an eye for detail and be able to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks.
* Occasionally to be able to work within a team of engineers on mechanical, chemical and electrical services as part of the water treatment plant system.
