Lead Veterinary Surgeon – Clinical Leadership Role – Colchester, Essex – £75,000 Performance Bonus A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to step into a meaningful leadership role within a well-established, supportive small animal practice in Colchester. About the Practice This well-established small animal practice is part of a wider network of practices across the South and East of England, offering the warmth and culture of a close-knit team, backed by the resources and collaboration of a larger group behind it. About the Role This is a permanent full-time or part-time position (minimum 3 days per week), with no out-of-hours requirement. There is a Saturday morning rota included in the role. Key responsibilities will include: Leading and maintaining high clinical standards across the practice Mentoring and developing the veterinary and nursing teams Managing complex medical cases and a broad range of surgical procedures Overseeing clinical governance and promoting best practice Supporting practice performance, workflow and team development Building strong, lasting client relationships Working alongside the Practice Director to contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the practice What They're Looking For They are looking for a confident, experienced small animal Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for clinical excellence and team development. Previous leadership or mentoring experience is preferred, and candidates with a proven track record in commercial leadership are particularly encouraged to apply. Orthopaedic experience is desirable but not essential.
