We champion best‐practice architecture, collaborating across the business to deliver secure, scalable and future‐ready digital capabilities.We’re looking for a **Solution Architect** to join our growing IT Architecture function, reporting to the Solution Delivery Project Manager and working closely with our Lead Solution Architect. This is a pivotal role, shaping clear, aligned and secure technology solutions that underpin projects across engineering, operations, enterprise systems and digital infrastructure.Solution Architects will typically take end to end ownership of solution design for assigned initiatives, from early concept through to delivery and operational handover, while working within agreed enterprise architecture standards and governance.We'll need you to:* Shape solution designs that are robust, secure and aligned with enterprise architecture standards* Support delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring solutions integrate smoothly and perform as intended* Guide design governance, influence technical direction and champion architectural best practice* Build strong relationships with technical and non‐technical colleagues to support consistent, effective deliverySolution Architects are expected to produce and own key architectural artefacts such as High Level Designs, support Low Level Design assurance, and contribute to technical governance and risk management for their assigned solutions.You will work alongside other architects across the organisation, with clear ownership boundaries agreed per initiative to ensure effective collaboration and avoid duplication.As this is a high‐profile, hands‐on role, you’ll bring a collaborative mindset, a proactive approach to problem‐solving, and clear, confident communication skills, as well as:* A recognised qualification in solution architecture (e.g., TOGAF, BCS) or equivalent demonstrable industry experience* We’ll ask about your experience designing and implementing SaaS‐based solutions and working across multi‐system environment* Strong knowledge of integration patterns, cloud platforms and enterprise architecture frameworks, plus the ability to influence technical direction* BPSS security clearance (or ability to obtain it)We anticipate a salary of £58,250.00 - £76,450.00 dependent on the skills, values, and knowledge you bring.We also offer excellent benefits including:* Bonus - Performance related bonus of up to 12.5%* Benefits Allowance - £2200, enabling you to create a bespoke package* Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.* Holidays - 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days* Private Medical Insurance - BUPA single cover health care* Life Assurance - 6x pensionable pay* £250 - One-off payment for new starters for home office purchasesYou’ll be joining a forward-thinking organisation that values transparency, fairness, and innovation.
