Sophisticated frauds, involving grooming of targeted individuals, shows the fake recruiter asking the unsuspecting job seeker to take part in a fake job interview, either over the phone or via WhatsApp, and also sending fraudulent follow-up correspondence offering job positions.

Job overview New drugs and treatments are currently being tested that are bringing about real change to haematology patients, helping to improve quality and prolonging life in many. Why not find out more by joining our team of research nurses and clinical research practitioners testing new treatments? After comprehensive training, you will be managing a portfolio of phase 1, 2&3 trials. You will be central to patient appointments, explaining the trials, collecting data, providing direct care including administration of new SACT therapies, and being a key support for the patients and their families. You will be working mainly Monday through Friday.
Main duties of the job The post holder will work with the Haematology Trial Unit research team, which is part of the Oncology and Haematology Directorate, and is involved in a wide spectrum of clinical research, predominantly phase I/II/III and translational research. The team works in collaboration with the TV&SM RRDN as well as academic, charity and commercial partners, and is responsible for the delivery of the Clinical trials in the Haematology portfolio. The post holder will work closely with other research nurses, clinical research practitioners, data managers, clinical teams, and designated junior doctors/SPR’s, continually striving to improve quality of care and clinical outcomes.

Person specification Shorlisting for Interview Qualifications Registered Nurse (Part 1. 8. 12 or 15 of the Nursing and Midwifery Council Register depending on area of practice)
UK recognised first level degree (HEI Level 6), in Nursing
Significant experience and expertise within speciality of the recruiting area for the research nurse role – supplemented by specialist training to post-graduate diploma level
Evidence of ongoing CPD, including multi-source feedback within own professional portfolio
Knowledge of research methodologies
Specialist post-graduate education / qualifications, or training relevant to area of clinical practice and/or clinical research delivery
Good Clinical Practice training and Human Tissue Act training
Knowledge of NHS research governance and policy
Clinical Competency Competency in clinical skills relevant to clinical research area – may include but not limited to vital sign recording, drug administration, phlebotomy/ cannulation/ECG/ cognitive assessment
Able to access and manage the care of peripheral and central lines
Understand targeted cell therapy trial protocols in relation to their suitability and use in practice
Clinical experience in Haematology and Bone Marrow transplant
Competent to work under own initiative within boundaries of the role and Competency in high level of accuracy and when assessing participants and documenting research and care activities
Able to proactively contribute to the education of learners, MDT colleagues and less experienced staff
Ability to work with a high level of attention to detail
Evidence of effective team working and team leadership (when required) as part of research delivery team
