We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Technology Engineering team at Greggs as a Software Developer to drive innovative, greenfield products that enhance both digital and in-store experiences.
Working in an agile, cross-functional team, you'll help build a scalable, secure platform supporting key digital solutions like click & collect, retail systems, and digital order fulfilment ensuring a seamless experience for millions of customers daily.

About the role
17. This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered

21. Write clean, maintainable and testable code, actively participating in code reviews to uphold quality and share knowledge within your team

About you
You’ll fit right into this role if you:
27. Have a strong understanding of programming concepts and experience building production-grade applications in one or more of the following areas:.NET (C#, Core, RESTFUL API development, Messaging, Azure Cloud)Flutter (Dart, Provider/Riverpod, Integration testing) (TypeScript, Storyblok, Vitest/Jest, Component libraries)
28. Are familiar with modern development practices and have an understanding of things like version control, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles
29. Have some hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (ideally Azure) and are keen to explore how cloud-native technologies can support scalable, secure, and modern technology solutions
30. Understand the value of testing and have an interest in automated testing and test-driven development (TDD) as part of building reliable, maintainable software
31. Appreciate the importance of security in software development and consider risk levels when designing and implementing technology solutions, striving to always follow security best practice
32. Have begun exploring LLMs and AI developer tools like GitHub CoPilot, and are comfortable leveraging them to enhance productivity, problem-solving, and code quality
33. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and are comfortable explaining development concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
34. Embrace being a lifelong learner who actively seeks feedback, embraces new technologies, and is committed to continuous improvement and growth
35. Are a team player who communicates clearly, listens actively and values diverse perspectives
