The Role: You will: Deliver a broad and balanced Drama and Theatre curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential) Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to explore their creative potential Contribute to a vibrant extracurricular programme including productions, performances, and drama clubs Plan, prepare, and assess student work to ensure all learners make progress and achieve their potential Work collaboratively with colleagues to drive forward creative arts education across the school community The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant degree in Drama, Theatre, or Performing Arts Have experience teaching in secondary schools (including through placements if ECT) Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for creative, student-centred learning Be confident using a range of teaching strategies and resources, including technology, to enhance learning Be committed to raising standards and promoting a positive learning culture Possess excellent classroom and behaviour management skills Be enthusiastic about contributing to wider school life, particularly through creative extracurricular activities If this isn't quite the role for you, please do still get in touch if you are a Qualified Teacher or Teaching Assistant looking for something new.
