Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring supplier payments, invoicing and financial records are managed efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain purchase ledgers, including supplier invoice processing and payment runs.
* Review, code and process supplier invoices, ensuring approvals are obtained and payments are made on time.
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
* Support month-end accounts payable processes and reporting.
* Prepare and process customer invoices, ensuring costs, freight charges and supporting documentation are accurate.
* Allocate expenses to the appropriate accounts and cost centres.
* Enter and maintain financial transactions within the company’s accounting systems.
* Investigate and resolve invoice and expense-related queries with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Key Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a finance / accounts role
* Excellent attention to detail
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
