Are you a compassionate and experienced mental health practitioner who is looking for a new leadership challenge? If this is you, we have an exciting opportunity within the forensic pathway at CPFT for a team manager.
As a team manager for the Specialist Community Forensic Team for Cambridgeshire, you will be playing a key role in leading the ever evolving service supporting the team and individuals with complex mental health needs and learning disabilities within the forensic and criminal justice pathway.
Responsibilities
* Lead with the Senior team in fully implementing the NHS Long Term Plan, NICE Quality Standards and delivering the Trusts strategic objectives. Complete audit / evaluation of service delivery and engage with the Operational Management Team on service development plans.
* Support the evolving team by ensuring operational policies are adjusted and aligned to service transformation, and that innovative practice is robustly implemented. Maintain a visible, professional presence providing staff with assistance, advice, and support.
* Provide operational management and support to the clinical leadership team and across the wider service.
* Contribute to quality improvement and problem-solving across the clinical pathways.
* Ensure clinical interventions are implemented in line with the latest NICE guidelines for psychological interventions.
* Ensure clinical governance arrangements are in place to cover all the clinical activity.
* Ensure that staff are appropriately skilled and trained to deliver the service and to provide supervision.
* Ensure satisfactory supervision arrangements are in place for all elements of service delivery.
* Adhere to all clinical policies and procedures.
* Ensure that care delivered is based on the assessment of care needs and includes a thorough risk assessment and risk management plan. Take special responsibility for the assessment of risk about clients accessing the service.
Working pattern
This post is predominately Monday – Friday 9 am – 5 pm but there may be times when flexibility is expected in line with role and responsibility. There will be times when travelling to other bases and residencies within Cambridgeshire and further afield dependant on need.
