TSA Surveying is working in partnership with a leading consultancy at the forefront of the UK’s decarbonisation and retrofit programmes. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Retrofit Designer to join their expanding team in Bristol.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on meaningful social housing projects that improve energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and enhance residents’ quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop retrofit design solutions in line with PAS2035:2023
Interpret Retrofit Assessments, Condition Reports and IOEs
Produce detailed technical specifications and design documentation
Develop ventilation strategies (Approved Document F compliant)
Undertake U-value calculations, thermal bridging analysis and condensation risk assessments
Identify building risks, constraints and propose mitigation solutions
Support the Whole House Retrofit approachAbout You:
Fully qualified Architect – MCIAT or ARB accredited (essential)
Experience in domestic retrofit projects
Strong knowledge of insulation, ventilation, moisture management and fabric-first principles
Good working knowledge of Revit/CAD and Microsoft Office
Understanding of PAS2035 and retrofit compliance requirements
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Site travel as required
Bristol (Hybrid – 2/3 Days Office Based)
